My Sister-In-Law Told My Stalker Ex My Whereabouts, Now He Won’t Stop Showing Up.

My stalker ex knows my whereabouts even though I changed offices, routines, and my last name after getting married. When he appeared beside my car holding my usual coffee order, one sentence told me someone close to me had been giving him information.

My stalker ex knows my whereabouts, even though I hadn’t spoken to Mason in almost two years. The first time he suddenly reappeared, he was standing beside my car in my office garage, holding a paper coffee cup and smiling as though we’d arranged to meet. My husband, Sam, happened to be on the phone with me as I walked toward the car—and the moment I saw Mason, my entire body reacted before I could explain what was happening.

Sam always called while I walked to my car after work. We’d developed the habit after Mason ignored warning letters and began asking old neighbors which window used to belong to me. Now Mason casually raised the coffee cup like a peace offering and reminded me that I still drank half oatmeal. He remembered. I backed away so quickly that my heels scraped against the concrete.

When I finally managed to say Mason’s name, he looked at me with that same slow, careful expression I remembered. I told him he shouldn’t be there. Instead of leaving, Mason looked wounded and said something far more disturbing: my family had told him I missed him.

That sentence changed everything.

Mason didn’t know where I worked.

I’d changed offices.

I’d changed my routines.

I’d even changed my last name after marrying Sam.

Only family knew the address.

And there was one person in Sam’s family who continued talking about Mason as though he were merely a sad misunderstanding instead of the reason I checked the locks twice.

Sam’s sister, Jess.

That night, Sam called her while I sat at our kitchen table with both hands wrapped around a glass of water I never drank.

He asked Jess directly whether she’d told Mason where I worked.

Jess paused.

Just long enough.

Then she explained that Mason had simply asked whether I was doing okay.

Sam repeated the question.

Had she told him where I worked?

Jess said Mason had sounded worried.

Sam told her he’d appeared at my office.

Her reaction didn’t sound shocked enough.

Maybe, Jess suggested, Mason simply wanted closure.

I took the phone from Sam.

I reminded Jess that Mason had a habit of turning small details into permission. I needed her to understand that information about me couldn’t be casually passed along.

But Jess’s voice became smooth and sympathetic.

She acknowledged that I’d gone through something difficult, then suggested I couldn’t punish someone forever for loving me badly.

That was how Jess did it.

The words sounded gentle enough to pass as kindness if someone else was listening.

I told her again: Mason had appeared at my workplace.

Jess’s answer?

He’d brought coffee.

That wasn’t a crime.

So I made the boundary unmistakable.

No information about me.

Not my workplace.

Not our home.

Not my schedule.

Nothing.

Jess agreed, though not without adding that perhaps it would help me feel in control.

For one week, nothing happened.

I started hoping the message had finally been understood.

Then Wednesday arrived.

My pottery class was one of the few ordinary things I still did entirely for myself. I had never posted about it online. There were no public announcements telling anyone where I’d be.

I’d mentioned the class only once.

It happened during Sunday dinner when Sam’s mother noticed clay beneath my fingernails and asked about it.

Jess had been in the room.

Now, one week after promising not to share anything else about me, I arrived at pottery class and saw Mason standing beneath the studio awning.

He was holding a bakery bag.

Inside were my favorite lemon cookies.

A woman from my class noticed him and asked whether I knew the man waiting outside.

Before I could answer, Mason answered for me.

“We go way back.”

I went back inside and asked the instructor to lock the door.

Mason remained outside.

And as I stared at the half-glazed bowl sitting on my table, one terrifying question became impossible to ignore:

If my stalker ex knows my whereabouts again, who keeps telling him where to find me?
